Photo Essay: Snow Covers Hebron

Snow in Hebron brings winter joy to residents.

The end of January has brought snow to Hebron and much of the greater Hebron Hill Regional Council area.  The cold, white stuff, so rare for the Middle East, fell from the sky and covering the Tomb of Machpela and other holy sites in the city. While the predicted snow storm missed Jerusalem, it was a welcome novelty for Hebron residents. Although snow falls almost every winter in the region, it usually does not last for long.
