Danny Bonfil, Jerusalem area head of the Histardrut visited Hebron for slichot services.
The Jerusalem region chairman of the Histadrut labor federation Danny Bonfil arrived in Hebron with a group of labor leaders on October 6, 2016. He attended slichot services at the Tomb of Machpela, burial site of the Biblical forefathers and mothers. It turns out that in addition to organizational skills, Danny is excellent at blowing the shofar. He blew the traditional ram’s horn at the end of prayers.
The Histadrut leader is the latest public official to visit the city of the Matriarchs and Patriarchs. Earlier this month Minister of Culture and Sport Miri Regev came to Hebron, followed by a slew of Members of Knesset over the summer.
Thousands attended the annual slichot services in Hebron this past Thursday which were led by Israel’s two chief rabbis. For full coverage click here.
