Hebron spokesperson to host Arab residents at Sovereignty Conference.
Noam Arnon, spokesperson for the Jewish Community of Hebron will lead a panel discussion at the 4th annual Sovereignty Conference. The event will feature a series of lectures and discussions on apply Israeli sovereignty to Judea and Samaria. Hebron is located in the Judea region.
Noam’s discussion is entitled ” Minorities in Favor of Israeli Sovereignty” and will feature Christian Arabs, Muslim Arabs and Israeli Arabs.
Noam and Sheikh Farid Al-Jabari, a veteran Hebron area leader, meet on a regular basis, often with Members of Knesset and foreign leaders. A longtime “mukhtar,” or community leader in the Southern Hebron Hills, Sheikh Jabari has often hosted Noam and other Jewish Hebron residents in his tent near the Zif Junction. Issues discussed have been the leadership of the Palestinian Authority which came into power in the mid-1990s, and the presence of anarchist groups and other European activists in the Hebron Hills region.
