American Torah Scholar Visits Hebron

Rabbi Reuven Feinstein, who has served as Rosh Yeshiva of Yeshiva of Staten Island in the United States since the 1960s visited Hebron in December. He met with the heads of the Hebron city council and was shown the neighborhoods by Hebron Fund Tourism Director Simcha Hochbaum.

Rabbi Feinstein gave a blessing for the development of the community and the IDF soldiers protecting the historic sites such as the Tomb of the Patriarchs & Matriarchs (Cave of Machpela).

The author of numerous books on Judaism, he joined his father Rabbi Moshe Feinstein in founding the yeshiva in 1966 as a branch of Mesivtha Tifereth Jerusalem, one of the oldest yeshivas in New York City.
