הקשה במערת המכפלה. מוטי, אדם נכה המתנייד בעזרת כיסא גלגלים התנדב להצטרף ולהסביר על הקושי
ממקור ראשון. תוך כדי הצילומים הידרדר כסא הגלגלים של מוטי והתהפך, מוטי נפגע ופונה
באמבולנס לקבלת טיפול רפואי. בבית החולים התברר כי הפגיעה של מוטי קשה מן המשוער. בחסדי ה’
הוא התאושש עד כה באופן חלקי ולפניו עוד חודשי שיקום ארוכים. הערב במבצע לוגיסטי מורכב הגיע
מוטי עם כסא הגלגלים החדש שלו והתכבד בהדלקה המרכזית לכבודו של רבי שמעון בר יוחאי במערת
המכפלה. אין ראוי ממנו. קישור לסרטון של ‘כאן’ בו נפגע מוטי בתגובה הראשונה.

the community who unfortunately is confined to a wheelchair. About three months
ago, Moti volunteered to participate in a documentary from the “Kan” Israeli public
broadcasting network. The purpose of the feature was to highlight the difficulty for
disabled Israelis accessing holy sites such as the Tomb of Machpela. Ironically, as the
cameras were rolling, Moti’s wheelchair lost control and he fell. Now recovered, he
returned to Hebron to take the torch and light the traditional bonfire.

אליה. עבור אנשים שכוחם במותניהם מדובר בעניין שבשגרה, במטרד סביר לכל היותר. אך כאשר מדובר
בנכה, בקשיש או במוגבל תנועה, העניין כבר נעשה אתגר כמעט בלתי אפשרי. לפעמים זה נגמר בפציעה
של ממש, כמו שקרה במהלך צילום הסירטון של כאן. לאבסורד הזה חייבים לשים סוף. מנגישים את
מערת המכפלה עכשיו. צפו ושתפו.

Matriarchs. The State of Israel and the Hebron municipality cannot make any additions to
the site without first getting approval of the Palestinian Authority and Muslim Wafq
with whom we share jurisdiction. This also explains why the roof in the Jewish section
of the complex has never been retrofitted to accommodate rain storms. The recent
flooding through Israel last week caused a power outage in the Machepla complex and
flooding in the prayer areas.
