Mike Huckabee, Anthony Scaramucci and others visited Hebron this week
as part of a tour of Judea, Samaria, and other strategic spots in Israel. Huckabee was
governor of Arkansas for 11 years and a two-time presidential candidate. He currently
hosts a talk show.

Scaramucci is a businessman and, entrepreneur who briefly served as the White House
Director of Communications in 2017. Both have visited Israel in the past. There were
joined in Hebron by Dr. Joe Frager of the National Council of Young Israel
and philanthropist Ken Abramowitz, Chairman of American Friends of
Likud.
They met with Hebron international spokesman Yishai Fleisher and veteran spokesman and
local resident David Wilder who conducted an interview with Mr. Huckabee which is

QUESTION: I’ve noticed you make frequent trips to
Israel.
ANSWER: Well I’ve been coming since 1973. My first trip was when I was 17,
and I’ve been bringing groups here in since 1981 and now I am coming three to five times
a year. I feel that part of my life’s mission now is to encourage people to understand
what Israel is all about. To understand the strategic and vital relationship with the
United States and also to recognize how many untruths are told about Israel every day by
the international press, whether it’s about BDS – Boycott Divestiture Sanctions
movement, whether it’s about human rights or manner of treatment in Gaza against Hamas,
90% lies, and I say that because I’ve been here and seen the country, with my own eyes.
I know first hand, what this country is about, so that’s part of why I keep
coming.

QUESTION: How do you see the relationship between Israel
the present American administration?
ANSWER: I think it’s better than it’s ever been. He truly
loves Israel, he respects Israel, he supports Israel. Not only as a strategic American
ally, but he recognizes the Biblical significance of this land and the importance
America really exercises to support her. So I am so proud of the president for the
unwavering support to the Land of Israel.
QUESTION: Regarding the recognition of Jerusalem and the
moving of the embassy. Where would you like to see American policy developing towards
Israel in the next two and a half years of the Trump presidency?
ANSWER: Well, I’d like to see him continue to recognize
Judea and Samaria as the legitimate boundaries of the Land of Israel. I’d like for us to
continue to join with Israel in pressuring Iran, to stop their insanity in trying to
develop weaponry that would kill Israel and the United States. I want to see us continue
to let the world know that there will be no daylight between the us and
Israel.
QUESTION: The United Nations declared the Tomb of the
Patriarchs to be a Palestinian heritage site and some people see no Jewish relationship
or connection to a place like this or the to Temple Mount in Jerusalem. When you see
these reports, what goes through you head?
ANSWER: Obviously a whole lot more than goes through the
heads of the people that say there’s no Biblical connection between the Jewish people
and Hebron and between the Jewish people and Jerusalem. It’s the only religion for which
there is a connection other than Christianity, which is built upon Judaism, so its
nonsense. This is part of the incredible lies that are told. But this is an
extraordinarily important place. The birthplace of Judaism, and its nonsense to think
otherwise. To try to pretend there isn’t, it’s almost like saying the Vatican has
nothing to do with the Catholic Church.
QUESTION: What message do you want to leave the people of
the State of Israel as a governor, a politician, and a strong friend of
Israel?
ANSWER: To let them know that in America, overwhelmingly
people support Israel, and especially from my community, the evangelical community,
which is a strong community, people believe in the Bible, that those that bless Israel
will be blessed, and those who curse Israel will be cursed. We’d like to be blessed and
we’re going to stand strong with our friend and our ally.
