Minister of Tourism Promotes Visits to Hebron Ahead of Mega Concert

Tourism Minister Yariv Levin visited the city sites in Hebron
including the Tomb of Machpela. He called the ancient burial site of the
Biblical Matriarchs and Patriarchs “a Jewish experience” that is part of the history of
monotheism.

Levin added that “terrorism is trying to discourage us,” but that “now is the
time to come to visit Hebron and the Tomb of Machpela.”

The annual Passover concert will be held on Monday April 25, 2016 and feature
popular singers and musicians. This year a special tribute for the 50th anniversary of
the liberation of the city will be held with guest speakers such as the two chief rabbis
of Israel, Members of Knesset and more.

The Tomb of Machpela will be open in its entirety, which happens only ten
times a year. This includes the Isaac and Rebecca Hall, the largest room in
the complex, with the entrance to the actual caves.
